![]() I don't know if the G5 board was developed partly because of that, but with the G5 board from what I gather, you no longer need to do the "15 ohm mod" in order to achieve those higher numbers. Burger started offering a free 15 ohm upgrade if people would mail their JB4 circuit boards in so more people don't mess their shit up. ![]() A lot of people did a really bad job soldering and pretty much messed up their original G4 (generation 4) circuit boards on the JB4. This is (hopefully) done with upgraded turbos or methanol so that the engine is still operating within safe limits with that kind of power. However, people don't like to have a power cap, so they started to solder on 15 ohm resistors instead with Terry's instruction in order to achieve higher numbers. In order to be within safe limits, people were pretty much capped out at 410 whp. Well the original JB4 with the 18 ohm resistor had certain limits on it. So you could get JB4 with the 15ohm (still don't really know the non-scientific version of what that means lol) and upgrade it to a JB4 G5 if you upgraded to the RB turbos, etc? What exactly needs to be done to upgrade, is it just a different harness?
